Groupe Supershock (Italie)

Quand la musique rock sublime le cinéma muet. Magique ! Ils sont originaires de Turin, elle est bassiste, lui guitariste-chanteur. Ils ont créé leur groupe de rock en 2002 et ont mis leur art au profit du cinéma muet, pour des ciné-concerts exceptionnels. Le groupe Supershock offre une cure de jouvence à des oeuvres du siècle dernier, les transformant en vidéoclips d'un autre temps. La rencontre entre leur écriture musicale et les films du cinéma muet, scène privilégiée de l'art gestuel, propose une nouvelle clé de lecture aux spectateurs.
Pour cette 28 ème édition de Mimos, Supershock jouera en live, lors de deux soirées, deux ciné-concerts : Metropolis, de Fritz Lang (1927), et Nosferatu, le vampire, de Wilhelm Friedrich Murnau (1922). Ces deux chefs d'oeuvre de l'expressionnisme allemand seront projetés dans le site magnifique du parc Gamenson,qui deviendra pour l'occasionn, une immense salle de cinéma et de concert à ciel ouvert. Soyez au rendez-vous pour deux soirées de plein air sous les étoiles qui vous combleront les yeux et l'esprit...

They come from Turin, she plays the base, he plays the guitar and sings. They formed their rock group in 2002 and have since devoted their skills to silent movies, with extraordinary film-concerts. 'Supershock' offer a youth cure to works of the last century, transforming them into videos from another era. The combination of their music with silent film, an art form which played a crucial role in the development of gestural theatre, offers a new understanding to audiences. For this 28th edition of Mimos, 'Supershock' will give two film-concerts, over the course of two evenings : Fritz Lang's 'Metropolis' (1927) and Wilhelm Friedrich Murnau's 'Nosferatu' (1922). These two masterpieces of German expressionism will be shown in the magnificent setting of the Gamenson Park, which, for the occasion, will become a vast cinema and concert hall, open to the skies. Come and join us for these two evenings in the open air, under the stars, which will fill your eyes and soul with joy.

En 1838, un clerc d'agent immobilier, marié avec une belle femme, Ellen, part en Transylvanie vendre une propriété au Comte Orlok. Durant la transaction, le Comte aperçoit une image d'Ellen et, fasciné, il décide d'acquérir une résidence proche de chez eux. Alors, Nosferatu chemine vers sa nouvelle propriété, répandant la mort et la désolation, par la peste, sur son sillage.

Two masterpieces of expressionism, an expression of mime on film, united with a rock group. 'Metropolis' by Fritz Lang (1927) 'Metropolis' is a mega-city divided into two: the upper town where the ruling classes live a life of idleness, luxury and entertainment; and the lower town where the working classes live and work to ensure that the town functions. Two contrasting worlds.... A science fiction film from the beginning of the last century which deals with a current social issue. 'Nosferatu' by Wilhelm Friedrich Murnau (1922) In 1838, an estate agent clerk, married to a beautiful wife, Ellen, leaves for Transylvania to sell a property owned by Count Orlok. During the course of the transaction, the Count catches sight of a picture of Ellen. Fascinated, he decides to buy a house near the couple. And then...as Nosferatu advances towards his new property, he leaves death and desolation, spread by the plague, in his wake.
