Périgueux is the capital of the Dordogne and is easily accessible by car, train or plane.

By car

• From Paris > A 20 down to Limoges > RN 21 to Périgueux
• From Paris > A 10 down to Poitiers > RN 10 to Angoulême > D939 to Périgueux
• From Bordeaux > A 89 to Périgueux (130 km)
• From Toulouse > A 62 up to Montauban > A 20 to Brive > A 89 to Périgueux

By train

• From Paris > departure from Paris-Austerlitz, via Limoges; the journey lasts about 3 h50 to 4 h50.
• From Paris by TGV (express train) departure from Paris-Montparnasse via Libourne ; the journey lasts about 3 h30 to 4 hrs.
• From Bordeaux, Limoges or Brive there are about 10 trains a day. The journey lasts from one to one and a half hours.

By plane

• Paris-Roissy Airport : direct train (TGV) to Libourne or to Bordeaux, and then train from Libourne or Bordeaux to Périgueux ;
• Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport : shuttle from the airport to the train station, and then train from Bordeaux to Périgueux (a dozen trains per day between Périgueux and Bordeaux) ;
• Limoges Airport : (about 100km from Périgueux) a dozen trains per day. 
   (no shuttle between the airport and Limoges city centre) ;
• Bergerac Airport : cars available for hire (no train link with Périgueux) ;
• Périgueux-Bassillac Airport .
